The SABPP has been re-accredited by SAQA as the ETQA for Human Resources in South Africa until 26 September 2011.

At the SAQA meeting of 14 August 2002, a final decision was taken to accredit the South African Board for People Practices (SABPP) as an Educational and Training Quality Assurance Body (ETQA) as from 1 November 2002. This was published in the Government Gazette Vol 445 No 23589 5 July 2002 under General Notice 914 of 2002.
